Hello, The next quarter will be offering two elective courses related to ongoing projects with Telefonica ADSL FFTY diagnosis, and the project Web4.0. They are especially interesting for fellows in the group. Regards, Carlos A. Course Simulation Techniques Based on Multi-agent Systems for Network Management (4 credits, two cycles) Objectives: The continued evolution and growth of such networks and the increasing complexity of devices connected to them, makes their management by human operators is increasingly costly and complex. The course aims to provide an overview of current solutions to manage the uncertainty in the network management through the development of networks capable of automation tasks diagnosis, correction, optimization, configuration and protection. The course will focus on presenting simulation techniques that facilitate the modeling of such solutions. The detailed objectives of the course are:
Dates: Contact classes (15/02/12, 22/02/12, 29/02/12, 03/07/12, 14/03/12, 21/03/12, 25/04/12). Practices remotely final presentation in class. Hours: Wednesday from 14.00 to 16.00 Assessment: Practice staff at the end of the course Date of examination (if any): No exam Program:
Course: question-answer Techologies (4 credits, two cycles) Objectives: The new voice-based mobile interfaces pose a technological challenge for the understanding of the information available on the Internet, so that it can respond to questions from users. The course will present the latest advances in question-answer, now popularized by programs such as Siri, presenting the technological base of these systems, combining theoretical and practical orientation. The specific objectives of the course are:
