Charon is a service of emergency management in geriatric centers using web 2.0social technologies and intelligent techniques to simulate emergency situations. Thesystem is capable of handling different types of emergencies, both those on the inmates of such centers (falls, loss of consciousness, patients lost,...) as well asgeneral emergencies (flood, fire,...) . The platform allows the participation of nursing home users in the management of information relating to possible emergencies that may occur, so that each user can provide data about the situation in which he is involved and share it with other users.
