Description:
IMPROVISA. Provisin Minimalist Infrastructure for Services in Ad-hoc Networks

IMPROVISA project addresses the problem of provisin information services in settings that, for some reason, lacking a fixed infrastructure of communications, require colaboraciny acting the parts of human and computer science (robots, devices, sensors, actuators, intelligent nodes, etc.). An example of such a performance stage is coordinated to natural catastrophes.

This project aims to develop specific applications and specific ad-hoc networks, working on the use of technologies sinrgico networking, security, dissemination of multimedia information in computation No service-oriented and intelligent agents for the deployment of information systems, communications and support decision making in the above scenarios.

The current TECHNOLOGICAL solution to these problems are espontneas networks, or ad-hoc network or MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Networks), consisting of heterogeneous nodes, autonomous region, and its mayoramviles, which communicate via links inalmbricos.

Improvise is a draft Program of Services Technologies for the Information Society (IST), call 2005 from MEC, conducted by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the University Alcalá.

Funding: Plan Nacional de I+D (CICYT, MICYT o MEC)
